RSVP

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program

Thanks for your interest in the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of St. Johns County. RSVP helps people age 55 and over find volunteer opportunities that match their skills, interests, and schedules. Seniors have a lifetime of experience to share with nonprofit agencies, governmental agencies, schools, hospitals, and other groups that are working to meet our community’s critical needs. Last year, RSVP volunteers in St. Johns County provided more than 100,000 hours of service to over 50 locations.

RSVP provides volunteers with supplemental insurance coverage while on assignment, newsletters, an annual recognition luncheon, and many other forms of acknowledgement for their services. There is absolutely no fee for any of these benefits. RSVP is a federal National Senior Service Corps program sponsored locally by the St. John’s County Board of County Commissioners. There are over 450,000 senior volunteers nationwide enrolled in RSVP, including over 750 in St. Johns County.

St. Gerard Campus is a host site for RSVP volunteers. If you are interested in this program and volunteering at St. Gerard Campus, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 904-829-5516 or volunteers@stgerardcampus.org
